Field Technician/Commercial Carpenter

US – MA – Bellingham

As a Field Technician/Carpenter for our Disaster Restoration & Facilities Maintenance group, you will be asked to plan, organize, supervise and perform rough and finish carpentry as well as other incidental trades associated with the alteration and construction of buildings and grounds.

Essential Functions

Review project plans and blueprints with individuals requesting work; estimate time, material, equipment and supplies needed to complete the task
Perform rough and finish carpentry on projects including building additions and remodels
Install floors and wall coverings, ceiling material, paneling, plastic laminates, insulation and hardware
Perform routine cleaning, inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
Execute all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards

Qualifications

Active driver’s license
Availability to travel roughly 20% of the time to remote project sites
Construction Supervisors License desired by not required

This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Local travel to various worksites may be required. Heavy Equipment Operator

US – MA – Bellingham

As a heavy equipment operator for our field services group, you will be operating a variety of contractor equipment and trucks used in construction, maintenance and repair activities. In addition, you will perform various semiskilled tasks relative to property maintenance and disaster response.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
Operate trucks and construction or power equipment, such as mechanized broom, backhoe, man-lift, dump truck, snowplow, front-end loader, hydraulic excavators, and skid steer loader
Operate jackhammers, mowers, brush chippers and other small equipment and tools to maintain street and utility systems
Perform routine cleaning, inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
Execute all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards

Qualifications

Active driver’s license, CDL A or B preferred
Availability to travel roughly 20% of the time to remote project sites
Current Heavy Equipment Operator’s (hoisting) license in MA with Grade 2B (front end loader/backhoe) or equivalent endorsement
Up to date DOT physical
